Something big on your mind? Is it taking over your life?
Do not let it consume you. Step out of the situation for a while.
Do something else to distract you for a bit. The situation will still be there, but you’ll be in a clearer frame of mind.
Take a long walk. Spend some mindless time watching a documentary. Throw yourself into a project. Spend time with people who care for you. Dream about simpler times. Do whatever it is that you have been neglecting. (Create a short list of your go-to destressors that you can easily do when feeling overwhelmed.)
Time for self-care is not wasted time. It is using your time wisely.
