“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
Providing feedback to your spouse is a powerful tool that can really help your spouse grow as a person and can enhance your marriage – if it is done right.
There is a way to give
constructive criticism negative feedback where your spouse actually wants to listen to you.
When such feedback is given and received with respect, you will grow closer. It provides a glimpse of how your spouse experiences you. It can be the “shake” you need to grow.
Some couples do not share any feedback with their spouse to avoid conflict.
If you never share or hear feedback, you are missing an important opportunity to tap in a resource that could be so enriching.
|Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, and start being excited of what could go right.|
