What you are looking for blinds you from what you are not looking for

Too often, we are looking for more examples to prove our point about something. You feel that your spouse doesn’t care about your perspective and you look for examples to prove your point. That’s confirmation bias.

When you focus on something, you may see it more – and at the same time you miss other important details. Like the many times that your spouse does consider your point of view.

Be open. Be curious. Be fair.
