When something resonates with you, you’re saying that it is in line with your own experience and outlook.
When you share an idea, opinion or suggestion, you might start or end with “How does this resonate with you?” This shows the other person that you are putting out the idea and that you are interested in hearing how they like the idea, that you are not imposing or insisting that it go your way.
Before you present the idea: “I have an idea, please tell me how this resonates with you.”
After you present the idea: “So that’s the idea, how does that resonate with you?”
