Ask “How can I?” rather than “Should I?”

If there is something that you know that you really ought to, go straight to the “How can I do this?” question instead of “Should I be doing this?”

You want to feel more awake every morning and in your gut you know that you should be eating better. Don’t ask yourself, “Should I be working on my food intake?”. A much more motivating way is to go straight for “How can I eat better?” Instead of “Should I be working on my relationships?”, ask “How can I improve my relationships?”

This moves you way past the question or problem and straight to solution mode. It is much more motivating.

Change your ‘should’ questions to ‘how’ questions and your internal motivation will soar.
