Deliberately choose what gets your attention so that you will become more productive.
- Know your priorities. Identify the items on your to-do list that are a priority. This will ensure that you are not wasting your energy on something else.
- Put yourself in charge of your attention. Create blocks of time where you don’t use your phone. Write down your thoughts (or worries) to address at a designated time. Work in places with few(er) distractions.
- Minimize your multi-tasking. If you are working on one thing, finish it. It takes several minutes to get back to a task after you have been interrupted.
