Having an issue with someone? Ask yourself this question: “Do I have the same (or similar) issues with other people or only this specific person?”
If it is just this one person, work through it together, or carefully extricate yourself from the situation or relationship.
If you notice a pattern of how people behave towards you (‘same situation, different people’), then consider that you are the common denominator in all those relationships or situations.
Of course, it’s much more comfortable to blame others for what is happening and wish or nag them to change. But that doesn’t change the truth that it is YOU who has some work to do.
