‘To Do’ lists vs ‘To Be’ lists

Many times, after learning something new (like attending a workshop about marriage), we are pumped and inspired about all the new things we ought to do. We might make a ‘to-do’ list of little tasks and projects to accomplish that new goal.

Before making that ‘to-do’ list, think about your ‘to-be’ list. Who do I need to BE to achieve the life I want? What you put onto your ‘to-be’ list may impact what you include on your ‘to-do’ list.

You want to be calm? You may rethink about how many things you put onto your ‘to-do’ list.

You want to professional in your work? You may add some time to talk to your mentor as you prepare your next presentation.

You want to be healthy? You may have to schedule some time for cutting a salad.

You want to be less anxious? You might plan to have that difficult conversation so you can begin to work your way past it.

What is one thing you might put on your ‘to-be’ list?
