Add important dates to your calendar

Never forget important dates. Spend a few minutes entering these into your calendar. (TIP: Set to be reminded a week before.)

Add important dates to your calendar – your anniversary, your spouse’s birthday, your in-law’s dates, the birthdays of each of your children. And any other dates that are important to your spouse – even if you don’t understand why they cares about those dates.

As you check your calendar, notice if any of these important dates are coming up.

Mention them in advance. “It is your birthday next week. Let’s do something special.” “Next week is our son’s 6th birthday. Want to do something special for him?”

By mentioning them, you show your spouse that these are important to you too. By doing it in advance, they won’t have time to think that perhaps you will forget – because you will have remembered.
