A better complaint

1. Have an objective; what do you want to achieve by bringing up this point? Take a moment to figure out what will make you feel satisfied or better.

2. Talk only when you are calm. If you are asking for a change from someone, it is best to bring it up when you are least likely to scream, yell, or say regrettable words.

3. Keep to one complaint at a time. Remember, your hope is that the other person will make a change. Don’t overwhelm them with a list of complaints.

4. Address the complaint only to the one who can actually make the change.
