All mental activity (i.e. thinking) requires energy, which is measured by calories. Studies posit that hard thinking can increase that caloric expenditure by 25%.

Arguing is a mental activity – all that thinking of how and what to say. It also increases your heart rate. These burn calories.

Unfortunately, you can’t think or argue yourself into significant weight loss.
