Having anxiety? Separate your fears from facts.

So many of our anxieties are not founded in reality. Address the real issues and quiet those that are taking space in your head but are not productive.

Create a two-column list. On one side list all your fears, uncertainties, and doubts (or FUD). “If I don’t do X, then Y.” “I don’t have any options but to do Z.” “I’m afraid I won’t pick the best possibility and others will laugh at my choice.” “We are going to lose our house.”

The second column is for facts or evidence that supports the FUD. Because most anxieties are not based on facts, this column will likely be shorter.

Being able to compare the two can subdue your fears and bring you back to reality.
